Bridewell Consulting is opening five new regional offices in UK

To meet rapidly growing demand for its unique expertise, cyber security services company, Bridewell Consulting, is opening five new regional offices in the UK and plans to double headcount over the next 12 months.

The new offices, in Manchester, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Nottingham and Cheltenham are part of Bridewell’s growth strategy, enabling the company to meet an expected 50% increase in demand for its global cyber security services and 24×7 managed detection and responses services this year.

The expansion into new offices comes after the company experienced 20% growth in new customers in 2020 despite the pandemic, and a 75% increase in revenues for the second successive year. The next 12 months will see further dramatic growth for Bridewell as it expands into Europe, North America and Asia, fuelled by a multi-million-pound investment and continued customer growth.

The news follows the appointment last month of the highly-experienced Paul Driver as Bridewell’s non-executive chairman to steer its ambitious five-year expansion plan and develop its service offering. Named as a finalist at SC Europe Awards 2021 for its managed detection and response service (MDR), Bridewell has also joined the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association (MISA), an invitation-only coalition of the most trusted managed security service providers for the outstanding capabilities of the same service.

“With new capital and fresh talent we are firmly on course for significant expansion into new markets,” said Bridewell Consulting co-CEO Scott Nicholson. “Opening new offices is part of a strategy that has already seen us become one of the UK’s largest independent providers of end-to-end cyber security services. This dramatic growth is driven by the expertise of our employees and our unwavering commitment to customers.”

Headquartered in Reading, Berkshire, Bridewell currently employs 81 consultants, bringing invaluable experience in advanced cyber security protection and standards. The company currently has more than 100 customers, 65% of which are critical national infrastructure organisations, with the rest spread across government, technology and financial services.

“Demand for leading cyber security services is rocketing,” said Anthony Young, co-CEO, Bridewell Consulting. “And we are now entering the next exciting phase in our development, evolving the depth and breadth of our services to bring our high levels of quality to yet more customers and new markets.”

Bridewell’s ambitious growth plans are in the context of a global cyber security market that is projected to reach $258 billion by 2025 with the managed security services market worth $46.4b alone. Bridewell’s managed security services have grown significantly over the past two years and are anticipated to account for a third of turnover in 2021. The company’s enterprise SOC services leverage a combination of cutting-edge technology, automation, integration and deep cyber security expertise to deliver a highly responsive and compelling service.
