Online platform for the exchange of used photo and video equipment MPB has appointed serial digital entrepreneur turned board director, James Bilefield (pictured), as its new Chair.
James Bilefield brings private and public board experience to MPB having previously served on the boards of consumer marketplace unicorns Vestiaire Collective and Farfetch, and through current board roles at STEM recruiter SThree plc and financial marketplace MoneySupermarket Group plc. MPB is fuelling circularity in the global creator economy, making photo and video kits more accessible, sustainable and affordable. The business is set to deliver over £100 million revenue this year following its recent £50m Series D funding round led by Vitruvian, fast expanding its team across its offices in Brighton, Brooklyn, and Berlin.
Founded by Matt Barker in 2011, MPB is an online platform for used photo and video kits. It recirculates more than 300,000 items of used kits every year, extending the life and creative potential of photo and video equipment for creators around the world.
