Buckinghamshire Business First is holding a Clean Air Day event to provide advice and support to firms on reaching Net Zero.

The seminar, hosted in the University of Buckinghamshire’s Vinson Building on June 16, will offer a range of activities and workshops which display the support available to businesses looking to reduce their carbon footprint.

Philippa Batting, Managing Director of Buckinghamshire Business First, said: “Everybody can have a positive impact on air quality, and as business leaders, there are simple steps we can take to reduce air pollution. This event will bring together experts and local business leaders who are committed to making changes towards Net Zero and reducing air pollution.”

The day's itinerary includes a ‘Focus on Marketing Your Green Credentials’ workshop and a networking lunch, as well as offering one-to-one advice on reducing energy usage and associated costs by advisory groups Low Carbon Advisors and Global Action Plan.

One area of focus will be electric vehicles where attendees will be given the opportunity to book an EV test drive as well as the chance to win a track day at Silverstone.

Businesses will also be able to join the BBF ‘#Net Zero Collaboration Circle’, an initiative which brings businesses together to provide mutual support in the creation of a Net Zero Bucks economy.

Philippa added: “Threats and opportunities often come hand in hand and the long-term threats from climate change can be countered today by the actions we all take to save energy, improve air quality and cut our carbon emissions, which can also benefit your business!”
