Duralock bolsters senior team with ex-BP executive
Duralock – the world’s leading provider of high-performance PVCu fencing – has announced that it will be boosting the international credentials of its senior team with the appointment of Mark Ware (pictured) as non-executive director.
Ware has been brought in to advise Duralock on its continued international expansion. His remit includes strategic oversight aimed at helping the company retain its reputation for delivering world-class products and unrivalled customer centricity at a bigger scale, across a more diverse selection of markets around the world.
Ware has over 30 years’ experience leading both large and small organisations through periods of high growth internationally, helping them build successful and sustainable business models that harness the idiosyncrasies of international trade. He is currently serving as trustee and board member of Macmillan Cancer Support. He brings strong manufacturing knowledge to the role having served as chairman and CEO of Shell & Vivo Lubricants, following a six-year stint as director of corporate communications and external affairs at BP. His work has taken him all round the world including the US, Middle East, Africa, Asia and Europe.
"Mark’s appointment will help us in our mission to deliver the best possible product to an even broader range of suitable customers," said Jonathon McGovern, Duralock's CEO. "It is a real boon for Duralock to appoint a new non-executive director with so much relevant experience alongside a real hunger to share it."
On his appointment, Ware explained: "It is a very exciting time for Duralock to be making a more concerted effort to increase its presence around the world. Jonathon and his team have been making big strides with a fantastic product. Very solid foundations have been laid for the next chapter in Duralock’s story. I look forward to seeing how I can best contribute."
