Oxford: Shaw Gibbs announces launch of online service for small businesses
Shaw Gibbs has announced the launch for small businesses of SGConnex, a complete, fixed-fee, online service, fully integrated with online accounting software Xero.
This pioneering step for online accountancy, the first branded service of this kind on offer in Oxfordshire, gives clients the freedom to tailor their own package of services to suit their business requirements. Pricing is completely transparent and clients can access and manage their accounts online, at any time to suit themselves.
Sarah Gardener, who has co-developed SGConnex with fellow director Ed Porter, explained the new service: “SGConnex will really make life easier for our clients. Many are already taking their business operations online, especially smaller firms who benefit from the convenience, time efficiency and transparency of operating in the cloud.”
Gary Turner, managing director of Xero, commented: “Business owners do not want to be confined to files saved in remote locations, on paper or desktop. Conducting business finances is an ongoing management tool and relying on paper invoices and spreadsheets limits a business’ ability to manage. Creating instant and ongoing access from anywhere at any time frees businesses from this limitation.”
Peter O’Connell, managing director of Shaw Gibbs, added: “With SGConnex, clients can choose the services they want for the day-to-day running of their business and draw on our team of experts for more complex support as and when needed.”
