Southampton FC awarded ‘Outstanding Email Creative’ at the Dotdigital Awards
Southampton Football Club picked up a prize at the annual Dotdigital Awards which were presented on November 17th at The Troxy in London. They won the award for 'Outstanding Email Creative'.
The club has now won awards three years in a row, having previously won Outstanding Email Creative and Best Use of Data. The honour was presented in appreciation of the south coast club's innovative email designs to promote their eye-catching new 22/23 away kit.
The club sought to highlight courage both on and off the field with the Bold Is Brave campaign and push the envelope with its uniform designs.
The 22/23 Southampton FC away kit was developed in collaboration with Danish manufacturers Hummel, drawing inspiration from the club's closeness to The Solent and the ports.
Sales of away strips have increased over 300% as a result of the campaign, compared to the same period last year.
Jack Walkling is the club's Head of Direct Marketing, Data and Analytics. He said this about the win: “We are delighted to have received this honour for Outstanding Email Creative at this year’s Dotties. As a club, we always challenge ourselves on how we can continually innovate and drive creativity."
