Windsor: Floating restaurant launched by Bateaux Cruises

Diners will soon be able to enjoy spectacular views of one of the Thames Valley's oldest and prettiest towns with the launch of a new floating restaurant.

Bateaux London, the leading provider of restaurant cruises on the Thames in the capital, has added to its fleet with a new, sister company - Bateaux Windsor.

And, from April, residents of, and visitors to, the historic Berkshire town, will be able to dine within sight of Windsor Castle, on The Melody.

The glass-sided, hand-crafted river boat will embark on scheduled lunch, afternoon tea, Sunday lunch and dinner cruises every weekend and can also be hired privately for celebrations and events.

Cruises last between 90 minutes and two and a half hours and the lunchtime trips feature a three-course meal, while evening diners enjoy five courses, including wine.

With uninterrupted views of one of the prettiest stretches of the Thames and freshly prepared, seasonal dishes, created by Bateaux London’s award-winning chefs, The Melody looks set to become a key tourist attraction and addition to Windsor’s dining scene.
