IBB Law advises Berry Group on acquisition of Inchcape’s BMW/MINI Cobham branch
IBB Law’s Commercial and Corporate team has recently advised existing client Marsh Wall Limited on the acquisition of the business and assets of Inchcape’s Cobham BMW/MINI branch, the latest in a series of acquisitions by the rapidly expanding Berry Group.
Established and authorised reseller of BMWs and MINIs, The Berry Group is continuing its strategy of remodelling, upgrading and improving the infrastructure of its acquisitions. This latest purchase brings the number of its BMW/MINI branches up to five branches with the others situated in Chiswick, Croydon, Heathrow and Thames Ditton.
The IBB team advising the Berry Group was led by Adam Dowdney (Corporate & Commercial Partner) and Jeff Elphee (Real Estate Partner) and included Richard Devall (Employment Partner) and Charlotte Newlyn (Corporate Solicitor).
The automotive group Inchcape was advised by TLT.
Commenting on the deal, Dowdney, IBB's Partner, said: "As with the previous acquisitions, the parties’ priority was to ensure a smooth transition for the benefit of BMW/Mini’s customers, which we were able to achieve through our close working relationship with Berry across all relevant service lines."
