MHA announce September Webinars
Accountancy firm MHA MacIntyre Hudson have released details of two free webinars this September.
The first webinar will focus on providing both existing and potential clients, a high level update on the UL and global economy.
Guest speaker for the September 15th online discussion is Professor of Global Economy and Deputy Dean Economics and Banking at Cranfield University Joe Nellis.
The discussion will run from 9am – 10.30am. A spokesperson for MacIntyre Hudson said: "As consumer and business confidence have fallen sharply in recent months, there is growing concern that a recession is now unavoidable and that inflationary pressures will persist well into next year with consequences for monetary policy and the cost of borrowing.
"Prof. Nellis will highlight the main forecasts for the coming years and assess the prospects for business, government and society."
The webinar is free to attend but registration is required. That process can be completed here.
The MHA Finance Director update course on September 22, runs for three hours from 8.30am. The session is designed to provide the latest technical knowledge on an ever-changing regulatory environment when it comes to Financial Reporting and Tax.
The session will provide three hours of verifiable CPD.
Speakers:
- Bob Trunchion, Tax Partner (Chairperson)
- Hasan Hashmi, Tax Director
- Jose De Mayne Hopkins, ESG Technical Director
- Jonathan Main, Tax Partner
- Chris Danes, Tax Partner
- Keeley Lund, Technical Director
With expert speakers from across MHA, this event will focus on: The current climate and key issues FD’s need to be aware of, Director benefits, ESG regulations, disclosures, and litigation risk, Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) and the OECD consultation, International trade from a VAT and indirect tax basis, UK Company Law and accounting standards, including IFRIC 23 reporting and transfer pricing.
The course is intended to not only alert you to regulatory changes, but to highlight points which can be used in practice. The short course is particularly aimed at those involved with businesses using IFRS and slightly larger entities using UK GAAP either under FRS101 or FRS102 but will be relevant to all FDs and CFOs.
Again participation is free of charge but registration, which can be completed here, is required.
