Reading: Jupp heads up expanding tax service
Tenon, the UK’s leading accountancy and business advisory firm to entrepreneurs, has appointed a new national head of tax to further strengthen its tax practice, both nationally and in the Thames Valley.
Andrew Jupp until recently was a partner at Ernst & Young in Reading and joins Tenon as national head of tax, based in Tenon’s Reading office, at a time when its tax practice is experiencing rapid growth. This key appointment demonstrates the importance of the tax practice to the growth of Tenon and its ambitions for the future.
Jupp has been a major player in the Thames Valley region for many years and has always specialised in working with entrepreneurs. He is well-known as an all-round business advisor, regularly broadcasting and writing on issues affecting entrepreneurial companies and the people behind them.
Commenting on this appointment Andy Raynor, chief executive of Tenon, said: “We are delighted that Andrew has decided to join us and having a full time Head of Tax will assist in driving the growth of Tenon further forward. Andrew is well-known as a key business advisor in the Thames Valley and, being based in our newly acquired Reading office office, Andrew will continue to be very active in the area.”
Tenon is very clear as to its position in working with the fast-growth entrepreneurial sector, whether that be with individuals, groups of individuals or companies. As head of tax, Jupp will continue to build a tax practice focused on entrepreneurs, a sector where tax planning around maximising shareholder value is the key to success. Tenon’s tax practitioners work closely with their clients throughout the lifecycle of their business activities, from minimising tax compliance issues, minimising corporate taxes as the client’s business evolves right through to minimising shareholder taxation on the ultimate exit from the business.
Jupp commented: “Joining Tenon at this stage of its growth is both exciting and challenging. Tenon is itself a very entrepreneurial organisation and I have been delighted with the enthusiasm and focus of all the people I have met so far. It is a privilege to be able to head up this vital part of our business and to contribute to the very ambitious growth plans we have. I also look forward to continuing to work with my many contacts in the Thames Valley.”
