Women-only fitness venue Studio Figura opens in Surrey
Joanna Komorowska and Andrzej Kulik, franchisees of Studio Figura, have opened a new location in Egham.
The business was able to open thanks to a six-figure funding package agreed with HSBC UK.
Studio Figura, which provides a range of fitness and wellness services, is using the funding to cover start-up costs including a complete refurbishment of the site. Among the renovations are dedicated fitness and wellness zones along with training stations and the acquirement of specialist equipment to facilitate its range of cosmetic treatments.
Joanna Komorowska, Owner of Studio Figura Egham, said: “The support the business has received from HSBC UK has been invaluable as we look to create a space for the women in our local community to enjoy. Our relationship manager at the bank, Tracey Smallwood, immediately understood our business needs and guided us through the process one step at a time.
“We are passionate about creating happier and healthier women in our community and are delighted to have opened our doors this summer.”

Being women-only helps the studio to create a communal space where plans are tailored to suit the needs of the individual. The business also expects to create three new jobs in the area.
Stuart Gibbs, Team Manager, HSBC Business Banking Direct, added: “Studio Figura is set to become an integral part of the local community. With the fitness and wellbeing sector experiencing a significant increase in demand as people embrace the opportunity to get active again post-pandemic, we look forward to supporting the business as it establishes itself further and continues to grow its customer base."
