Berkshire: Penningtons Manches’ legal hospitality expert moves to Reading office
Legal hospitality expert and employment partner Julian Yew has joined the Penningtons Manches’ Reading office from the start of 2014 to expand the firm’s hotel and leisure practice in the Thames Valley.
Previously based in the firm’s London office, Yew has risen to prominence in the London hospitality sector over the past 14 years through his advisory work for restaurants and international hotel operators such as Hyatt, Jumeirah, Thompson and Ascott on employment law issues affecting the UK hospitality sector.
A regular contributor of articles to legal and hospitality publications, Yew is also the author of the “Employment Law for Hotels, Pubs and Restaurants”, which was endorsed by the British Hospitality Association in 2013.
Commenting on his move, he said: “I am looking forward to meeting and supporting the hospitality trade in the Thames Valley in 2014. As a good customer experience is increasingly vital for attracting new customers and generating repeat business, every hospitality business is heavily dependent on its ability to recruit and retain good staff.
“We can help the sector to promote good HR practice and empower managers to make sound business decisions from recruitment to termination. The new year is a good opportunity for business owners and managers to review their existing business practices and make the necessary changes to move forward and prosper.”
