New team members fuel growth at Charles Russell Speechlys
Charles Russell Speechlys in Guildford continues to expand, with new appointments across a range of specialisms and further recruitment in progress.
The leading South East law office has bolstered its team at all levels, from new trainees through to a new partner and head of commercial real estate.
Ingrid Saffin has joined Charles Russell Speechlys’ property team, one of the largest in the South East, as partner and head of commercial real estate. Saffin’s experience spans a broad spectrum of commercial property matters with particular expertise in retail, industrial, pipelines and health care.
Among the three new associates, Kieron McHale has joined the firm’s construction team, and Edward Birrell and Samantha Ewing have been appointed to the contentious trusts and estates team. Further new associates have been recruited to join Charles Russell Speechlys’ corporate, commercial dispute resolution and contentious trusts and estates teams in the autumn.
Attracting young talent
Charles Russell Speechlys is renowned for the quality of its training and the calibre of its trainees. Three trainees have become newly qualified
solicitors and will remain with the firm. Polly Dallyn and Lydia Hutchinson join the family team and Will Dewey joins the tax, trusts and succession team. In addition, five new trainees have started in the office – to increase the number of trainees for the Guildford team to 10 next year – and is a reflection of the continued success of the office.
The firm has also launched a social mobility scheme, working with local colleges to give students experience in all aspects of working in a major law firm from legal practice to HR and marketing.
