Solent: Shoosmiths appoints new head of office
Shoosmiths has appointed a new head for its Solent office.
Corporate partner Chris McClure, who joined Shoosmiths in 2009, becomes head of the national law firm’s Solent base with immediate effect.
He will be responsible for growing and enhancing its profile across Hampshire and the Southern region.
Hampshire-born McClure, who specialises in big ticket transactions mainly in the aviation and rail sectors, is recognised for his legal expertise by the UK’s leading legal directories, receiving praise for his ‘sensible, thorough approach and impressively detailed understanding of the marketplace’, in Chambers UK, 2011.
McClure said: "I’m thoroughly looking forward to helping Shoosmiths hone its reputation for being able to offer some of the best quality legal advice in the region.
“We’re already nationally acknowledged for our innovative approach to legal services, and it’s because of this that we’re able to attract and retain some of the most talented legal experts in the area, as well as advise some of the most dynamic businesses in the South.”
Shoosmiths’ Solent office has gone from strength to strength over the past few years to ensure that it can offer the full range of legal services. It now boasts the leading corporate and private equity practice in the region.
Shoosmiths was recently awarded Corporate Law Firm of the Year for the second year running by The Business Magazine.
