The Thames Valley Deals Awards, staged by The Business Magazine, is the leading event in the region’s corporate finance calendar.
The Thames Valley Deals Awards brings together corporate finance advisers, lawyers, bankers, private equity investors, accountants, and funding specialists – plus of course the management teams that have led the deals themselves.
Bank of the Year Award will be awarded to the bank that has had the most significant impact within the region on the completion of deals and demonstrated support (financing and other) to businesses during the pandemic.
Corporate Finance Adviser of the Year
The Corporate Finance Adviser of the Year Award will be awarded to the person who has had the most significant impact on completion of deals within the region.
Corporate Finance Team of the Year
The Corporate Finance Team of the Year Award will be presented to the team that has had the most significant impact on completion of deals within the region.
Due Diligence Team of the Year
The Due Diligence Team Award will be presented to the team that has had the most significant impact on completion of deals within the region.
International Deal of the Year
The International Deal Award will be presented to advisers or firms operating in the Thames Valley who have been involved in completing an International Trade deal through a regional business and an overseas business. The judges will assess submissions in terms of complexity, innovative solution, speed of completion including the economic impact the deal has had and whether it was transformational for the businesses concerned. The category is open to companies of all sizes and in all sectors.
Large Deal of the Year (over £50m)
The Large Deal of the Year Award (over £50m) will be presented to the deal which is the most significant in terms of its complexity, innovative solution, speed of completion, impact on businesses involved, impact on local economy.
Lawyer of the YEar
The Lawyer of the Year Award will be presented to the lawyer who has had the most significant impact on completion of deals within the region.
Law Firm of the Year
The Law Firm of the Year Award will be presented to the law firm that has had the most significant impact on completion of deals within the region.
Non-Bank Lender of the Year
The non-bank lender of the year will be awarded to a business that stands out for asset based funding, crowdfunding, or who is helping to support deals in the region. Any non-bank funder is eligible in this category
Management Team of the Year
This award is for the management team that has taken its company through an acquisition, management buyout, or other transaction and has proved post-deal that it is now scaling new heights.
Mid-range Deal of the Year (£10m-£50m)
The Mid-range Deal of the Year (£10m - £50m) Award will be awarded to the deal which is the most significant in terms of its complexity, innovative solution, speed of completion, impact on local economy.
Private Equity Firm of the Year
Private Equity Firm of the Year Award will be presented to the firm that has had the most significant impact on completion of deals within the region.
Small Deal of the Year (under £10m)
The Small Deal of the Year (under £10m) Award is awarded to the deal which is the most significant in terms of its complexity, innovative solution, speed of completion, impact on businesses involved, impact on local economy.
Young Dealmaker of the Year (Under 35)
The Young Dealmaker of the Year (under 35) Award will be presented to the person who has had the most significant impact on completion of deals within the region.
