Marlow: Moorcrofts advises letting of oldest building in town
Moorcrofts commercial property team has advised the landlords on a local letting on West Street, Marlow to new tenants, the NFU Mutual Insurance Society.
The NFU Mutual Insurance Society, which offers insurance across its 300 UK branches, recently opened the new office following refurbishment works, comprising 2847 sq ft across three floors at 7-9 West Street, Marlow. The building dates back to mid-16th Century and was the original town bakery. It is Grade 2 listed and is considered to be the oldest building in Marlow by the Marlow Archaeological Society.
Moorcrofts’ commercial property partner, Julia Ferguson has been leading the legal negotiations for the landlord with support from Ian Hylton and Anita Johnson.
Ferguson said: “We were very pleased to assist Tim and Alex in their first foray into property letting having previously operated their own retail clothing business – Landmark, from the premises. The letting of the unit to such a high calibre tenant will be good for the high street as a whole.”
