Bridewell Consulting in the top 10 Thames Valley SME100 Growth 2021
Bridewell Consulting, a Reading-based company specialising in cybersecurity and data privacy, was listed among the top 10 high-growth small and medium-sized enterprises on the Thames Valley SME100 Growth index. Companies needed to achieve a significant increase in their turnover to be included in the list. A 4.2% rise in turnover since 2020 and an overall growth of 84% placed Bridewell Consulting at number nine on the growth index list.
We asked Anthony Young and Scott Nicholson, the CEOs of Bridewell Consulting, about its toughest challenges in 2021 as well as its biggest wins and wildest ambitions for the upcoming year.
What were your three toughest challenges over the past year?
Anthony Young and Scott Nicholson: Scaling the business through a pandemic, having multiple remote interviews and the remote onboarding of new staff as well as the continuation of building a collaborative culture virtually without members of staff becoming ‘zoomed out’. Building a new website that represents our brand. Missing out on the Christmas party.
Your biggest win?
Anthony Young and Scott Nicholson: Growing the business 75% through a pandemic while also gaining private equity investment to fuel our growth overseas.
Your three wildest ambitions for the coming year?
Anthony Young and Scott Nicholson: Doubling headcount to 200 people and expanding the business into North America and Asia. Being recognised as a top 5 independent cyber security company in the UK.
