The corporate finance team provided financial due diligence services to Ecocleen and its financier HSBC prior to the acquisition of Regency. The team’s findings assisted in HSBC’s financing decision which allows Ecocleen to expand its reach into key sectors including education and motor retail while expanding its nationwide franchise network. Ecocleen was also advised by Owen White on legal aspects of the transaction.

Brad McAvoy, corporate finance director at James Cowper Kreston, said: “Ecocleen has a clear strategy to accelerate growth through acquisition and we were thrilled to play a part in this growth. Regency’s long established customer base and sector focus will be very complementary for Ecocleen.”

Jean-Henri Beukes, managing director of Ecocleen, said: “Brad and the due diligence team at James Cowper Kreston provided high quality due diligence support and practical transaction advice and assistance throughout the deal process. This will be one of many strategic acquisitions for us and we look forward to working with James Cowper Kreston again in future.”
