Wallingford: Ecocleen acquires Regency in deal advised by James Cowper Kreston

James Cowper Kreston’s corporate finance team recently provided transaction support to Ecocleen Services and its financier HSBC on the acquisition of Henley-based cleaning business Regency Cleaning Services.

Wallingford-based Ecocleen has more than 25 years of experience developing and implementing tailored commercial cleaning solutions. Ecocleen handles contracts of all sizes on behalf of over 600 customers, servicing both single and multi-site operations on a local, regional and national basis. By taking advantage of specialist cleaning expertise across a diverse mix of industry sectors, Ecocleen can adapt its offering to meet individual requirements and expectations.

Regency Cleaning Services operates throughout Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire, supporting more than 100 clients. The company’s team of 500 are responsible for delivering cleaning, waste management, porterage and maintenance services to a variety of private and public sector sites such as schools, nurseries, offices and car showrooms.

The corporate finance team provided financial due diligence services to Ecocleen and its financier HSBC prior to the acquisition of Regency. The team’s findings assisted in HSBC’s financing decision which allows Ecocleen to expand its reach into key sectors including education and motor retail while expanding its nationwide franchise network. Ecocleen was also advised by Owen White on legal aspects of the transaction.
