Grosvenor Birch and NK Active launch podcast supporting local businesses

Two Romsey-based businesses have teamed up to launch the Health & Wealth Podcast aimed at supporting local businesses, giving them a platform to discuss issues that are important to them, the community and region at large.

NK Active and Grosvenor Birch will host the weekly podcasts which will also feature invited guests from across Hampshire.

The Hampshire small business podcast is the brainchild of Nick Knight (NK Active) and Lewis Birch (Grosvenor Birch). Both small business owners are passionate about encouraging a thriving Hampshire business community and wanted to give business owners like themselves a new platform with which to gain advice but also to reach their own audiences too.

The theme of the weekly podcast is health and wealth thanks to Knight and Birch’s background. Knight is clinical director at NK Active and Birch is a FPFS chartered financial planner at Grosvenor Birch. Health and wealth are intrinsically linked as has been shown during the pandemic with people’s health affecting their work and a precarious job market in some sectors contributing to various health issues.

Knight commented: "The concept of the podcast came about from conversations with Lewis about how we have had to proactively work on our respective businesses during lockdown. We will team up to offer advice on various topics such as returning to work safely, protecting your finances going forward and so on."

Birch added: "We also want to give a platform to local businesses and find out how the past year has impacted on their businesses and what their aims are for the future. By sharing the podcast with like-minded companies and individuals we want to help drive growth for the area and introduce people who may never have had a platform previously."
