Business advisory firm Quantuma has announced its move to a new office in Maidenhead, as the firm reports 10% year-on-year team growth in the Thames Valley region.

Quantuma has taken an entire floor at Arcadia House, a recently refurbished grade A building in central Maidenhead. The space has been fitted out to suit flexible working practices as the firm continues to develop its operating routines, as well as being Covid-19 secure for staff and visitors alike.

As part of the move, all 40 professionals from the firm’s Thames Valley team – previously based in Marlow – will relocate to Maidenhead. This follows a series of key appointments in the region over the past 12 months, including directors Nick Parsk and Michael Hall, who joined Quantuma last year, bringing almost 40 years’ experience to the firm, working closely with Jo Leach as resident director.

The new office will be headed up by managing directors Frank Wessely and Chris Newell, working alongside Ian Barton, a managing director in the firm’s corporate finance team. The relocation comes as Quantuma’s Thames Valley team experienced an exceptionally busy Q4 2020, with three transactions completed by its corporate finance team in the last two weeks of the year, including advising Marlow-based Whistl on its acquisition of e-fulfillment provider Clientbase.

The Maidenhead office will operate a complete advisory service – including restructuring advisory, insolvency and corporate finance – making it well-placed to assist organisations and individuals in identifying and exploiting opportunities across the Thames Valley region, as well as those who will need to manage a range of operational and financial challenges in 2021.

Quantuma’s rapidly growing forensic accounting team will also see further expansion in the Thames Valley over the coming months, with a new managing director to focus on the Southern part of the region.

The move marks a period of significant growth for the firm, having made four acquisitions since 2017. These have included Quantuma’s recent merger with AIM-listed K3 Capital and Essex-based management consultancy Aspect Plus, as well as acquisitive expansion into the Cayman Islands. As a £23 million turnover business, Quantuma now has 250 staff across 18 UK locations and 22 globally, including overseas bases in Cyprus, Mauritius and the new premises in the Cayman Islands.

Newell, managing director at Quantuma, said: “We’re extremely pleased to expand our Thames Valley operations as we look to provide local businesses with the support they need during this challenging period. Our move to Maidenhead will enable us to accommodate a busy pipeline, offering a broader range of advisory services to the region’s businesses, with the objective of driving growth back into the local and national economy.”

Wessely, managing director at Quantuma, added: “The move from Marlow to Maidenhead demonstrates our commitment to supporting the professionals and businesses in the Thames Valley and Buckinghamshire regions during what is set to be a difficult year ahead. The new open-plan office makes it ideal for flexible and safe working conditions, while its location, close to the town centre and major transport links, is ideal for direct connections to the city, central London and the West Country. Not only will this move set us in better stead for clients but will also provide greater access to the talent market in the region to support future growth.”
