Hampshire law firm Eric Robinson Solicitors has welcomed three new faces to its partnership – those of Beverley Pym, Vicki Rawlins and Thomas Hunt.

An accredited family law specialist, Pym joined Eric Robinson Solicitors in 1997 at the firm’s Hedge End branch, where she still works today. After various changes over the past couple of years, she has taken the additional responsibility of managing the offices and wanted to become more involved in the firm and its decision-making process.

"I felt the offer to become partner was in recognition of both taking on the leadership role and my years of hard work and commitment to the firm," said Pym, who is also responsible for the firm’s mediation department. "Of course, it is very flattering and satisfying to have been made the offer to join the partnership and I was delighted to accept."

Rawlins first arrived at Eric Robinson Solicitors in 1994 to complete a work experience placement while at school. She went on to study A-levels at Totton College, a law degree at Solent University, masters in law at Southampton University and an LPC at Bournemouth University before returning to the firm to complete a training contract in 2002.

"Having ‘risen through the ranks’, I feel I have an understanding of the firm at every level," explained Rawlins, who works with Pym in family law and heads up the department. "In the past few years, the firm has really focused on its future with direction and purpose. It is exciting to now be joining the team that continues to drive such improvement and change."

Hunt at the age of 31 is the firm’s youngest partner in its 50-year history. The employment law specialist made no secret of his ambition when he was asked to join the firm last year.

"Not only do I hope to contribute ideas and fresh thinking to the partnership, but working closely with the management teams of a variety of corporate clients has also given me valuable insight and knowledge to grow my business acumen," he said. "It is exhilarating to be part of the firm’s drive and determination."

"Bringing the partnership up to 10 members is not only a reflection of the success of the individuals we have asked to join us, but also indicative of our needs as a firm," explained Catherine Maxfield, managing partner. "Each person has been asked for the skills and aptitude which we need to continue the tremendous success we have enjoyed over the past couple of years."
