Chair and comfort furniture specialist HSL is soon to open a new store in Oxford, with the help from leading commercial property consultants VSL & Partners.
This latest store opening will mean that HSL now has 46 stores in a national network stretching from Bathgate to Plymouth. The company supplies an extensive range of craftsman-built, handmade furniture, including chairs, sofas, recliners and beds.
VSL has agreed a 10-year lease with a 5-year break on the former motorcycle dealership Faulkners, located at the entrance to Botley Road Retail Park, Oxford. The prominent retail unit, comprising 2,522 sq ft of showroom and workshop accommodation together with car parking and yard space, has been let for £50,500 per annum.
VSL director Tom Barton said: “This has always been a high profile retail unit, extremely visible leaving the city centre, and we are pleased to have secured a good quality long term tenant.
“Extending its presence across the country is a fundamental part of HSL’s growth strategy, with the closest store at Henley-on-Thames, approximately 21 miles away, and other nearby stores including Milton Keynes, Henley-in-Arden and Cheltenham, it made perfect sense to open in Oxford. This move gives them a strong foothold within the affluent city of Oxford and places them within easy travelling distance for many hundreds of thousands more customers.”
Colliers International represented HSL.
