Thames Valley: B P Collins appoints Hardy as senior partner
Chris Hardy is to take over the reins as senior partner at leading Buckinghamshire law firm B P Collins LLP, from February 1.
The move sees David Stanning retire from the firm after more than 38 years.
Hardy, who celebrated his own 30-year milestone with B P Collins in 2013, will retain his position in the residential property and residential development team and combine the two roles.
“I’m thrilled to take over at what is an exciting and interesting time in the legal sector,” he said. “We have a very strong team of fellow partners and lawyers whose expertise ensures our excellent reputation across the Thames Valley, and I look forward to capitalising on those strengths still further as we drive the business forward.”
While Hardy will continue to be involved with his core clients, he is also looking forward to being an ambassador for the firm and spending time in the management role.
“Having been part of the team here over the past 30 years, I am very proud of our heritage. David has done a terrific job leading the firm through some very challenging times in the economy and has given me a great platform from which to build on our strengths and reputation,” he added.
He sees growth opportunities across both the firm’s corporate and commercial sectors – especially among privately-owned businesses – and its private client teams, where its lawyers have a reputation for efficiently handling complex and high-profile cases.
