Thames Valley: Shoosmiths boosts practice with partner promotion
Tax expert Tom Wilde has stepped up from his role as senior associate at national law firm Shoosmiths to become a partner in the corporate team. The promotion took effect from May 1, 2015.
As chair of the Thames Valley branch committee of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, Wilde has earned a solid reputation in the field advising clients nationally on tax investments. Since joining the firm in 2007 he has led on a number of complex, business-critical advisory areas such as structuring tax efficient projects and transactions in the corporate tax sector.
Shoosmiths chief executive Claire Rowe said: "This promotion recognises the contribution Tom has made to provide a first-class client experience and drive forward the expansion of our corporate services to exceed the needs and expectations of our clients. I wish him every success for his future at Shoosmiths.”
Wilde is joined in the promotions round by former senior associate Andrea James from the firm’s commercial team in Manchester, who has also been promoted to a partner.
Seventeen staff members were also promoted to senior associate, including: Danielle Ingham, Fleur Turrington, Michael Briggs, Richard Marshall, Simon McArdle (all commercial); Ruth Evans (corporate); Alison Grandison and Sarah Banner (both private client); Anna Cartledge, Barbara McGreal, Helen Andrews, Helen Parrott, Paul Scott, Paul Weeks, Sophie Wilkinson; Tim Flight and Will Sanderson (all real estate).
