Hampshire and Berkshire-based consultancy Pro Vision has appointed two new company directors as it looks to further grow and develop the business.

Katherine Miles and James Iles have both been promoted from their recent roles as planning directors at Pro Vision. The multidisciplinary practice offers town planning, architecture, urban design and ecology services from its offices in Winchester and Newbury.

Commenting on the appointments, Scot Masker, director, said: “We are delighted that we are promoting these two highly talented colleagues from within the firm as key additions to the management team as we embark on a new decade and look to continue to grow the practice and provide a high quality service to our clients."

Katherine Miles, who joined Pro Vision in 2014, is an experienced chartered town planner with a strong grasp of planning law and an interest in housing supply and neighbourhood planning. During her time at Pro Vision, she has built up an impressive track record of strategic site allocations, planning permissions and successful planning appeals.

After graduating with an MSc in Town and Country Planning from the University of Reading and BA (Hons) in Town Planning at the University of Westminster, Miles worked as a senior planning officer for Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council before moving to private practice. She is a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) and Solent branch of Women in Planning network.

James Iles is also a highly skilled and experienced chartered town planner whose career has flourished in private practice following an initial grounding in local government. His portfolio includes high-profile and award-winning projects.

A member of the RTPI, Iles has project experience across many development sectors and enjoys the challenge of understanding client objectives and negotiating successful outcomes. Iles, who joined Pro Vision in 2016, graduated with an MSc in Environmental Management from the University of Southampton and an MA in Town planning from the University of the West of England.

Commenting on his promotion, he said: “This is an exciting milestone I have been working towards. I’m looking forward to guiding the growth of the practice, ensuring we continue to provide strong, reliable advice and high quality service to our diverse client base, delivering successful developments across the region and beyond.”

Miles added: “I am honoured to have been given the opportunity to lead a strong and dynamic team of people at Pro Vision. Whilst I will continue to help our clients attain planning permission for a wide range of projects, joining the board of directors will enable me also to have a hand in shaping and growing our business and to continue to support and develop our team of professionals.”

The pair join three other board directors who run the employee-owned consultancy. Founded in 1996, Pro Vision has a core team of 30 town planning consultants, architects, urban designers, ecologists and technologists.
