Foot Anstey to expand Southampton office as it announces new hires
National law firm, Foot Anstey has announced it is to expand the footprint of its Southampton office thanks to significant organic growth in the region. Also, the firm will welcome two new hires to its commercial property and property litigation teams.
Foot Anstey, which first opened the doors to its Southampton office in 2017, has completed a letting of a further suite in the firm's office in the White Building, with the support of property management company Ashville. The completion means Foot Anstey will be spread across two and a half floors with 67 desks, enabling the law firm to offer a spacious working environment for current and future employees.
In addition, Foot Anstey has made two new appointments. Lara Borrett-Lynch will rejoin the firm as legal director in its commercial property team and Andy Meatcher join as a solicitor in its property litigation team in Southampton. Borrett-Lynch has over 20 years' experience in residential development acting for housing associations, national and regional house builders and local authorities, and her key area of interest is the provision of affordable housing.
Over the past year the law firm has strengthened its stake in the region through the additions of two new partners, Rachel Brooks and Tim Wheen, as well as a new legal director, James Barnett, in addition to growing the size of the firm's private wealth team in Southampton.
Brooks, partner at Foot Anstey, said: "Lara brings a wealth of experience with her and will work with our property teams to offer outstanding legal advice to our clients. We are excited to have her back at the firm, as well as welcoming Andy.
"This expansion to our base in Southampton is an indication of our growth in the Hampshire region. Our thanks to Ashville for their supported throughout the process."
Andrew Oliver, lettings manager for Ashville who manage the asset, commented: "Foot Anstey has been an important tenant of ours for many years now, and it’s great to see the company continue to grow and expand at the White Building."
