Oxfordshire’s largest mixed used business community, Milton Park, is welcoming OKA, the leading furniture and interiors retailer, following its recent move to new warehouse accommodation on the park.

Established in 1999 as an interior mail order catalogue with a staff of five, OKA has grown over the last decade and now includes a successful website and 13 stores across the country, with 140 employees.

As its growth continues, OKA has needed to expand its warehousing facilities, and has found its ideal new accommodation at Milton Park, near Didcot.

The company has taken 101,089 sq ft at 170 Milton Park, increasing its capacity by over 7,500 sq ft from its previous warehouses in Berinsfield and at MEPC’s Steventon Storage Facility, Oxfordshire.

Supplying a range of products for the home, including furniture, storage, lighting and accessories, OKA will enjoy modernised facilities including improved picking and stock control at its new Milton Park warehouse.

As a supplier with worldwide delivery, OKA will benefit from Milton Park’s excellent road links and access, providing the perfect location for its warehousing, storage and logistics operations.

James Dipple, managing director of MEPC Milton Park commented: “MEPC and OKA have worked together for many years at our Steventon Storage Facility. Our philosophy of working closely with occupiers has cemented a good working relationship and knowledge of their warehousing requirements. This together with Milton Park’s strategic location and diverse range of industrial accommodation enable us to be perfectly placed to cater for the needs of a business such as OKA, and we are delighted to be welcoming this exciting and growing company to the park.”

Annabel Astor, CEO of OKA said: “The move to Milton Park is an important milestone for OKA. Our business has expanded over the last few years, with new stores opening and exciting changes to our ranges. It is therefore important that our storage and logistics operations can adapt and change with us and that we can continue to improve our delivery service and offer our customers an excellent experience. We’re delighted to be moving our storage and operations to Milton Park – we look forward to continuing our strong relationship with MEPC Milton Park and to developing and growing OKA even further in the future.”
