Andover: Occupiers sign up for new trade park
Three major names have signed up to occupy units at a new trade park which is under construction and due to open in Andover later this year. Of eight units at the new Glenmore Trade Park, three have already been let - one each to Topps Tiles, Magnet Kitchens/Magnet Trade, and Formula One Auto Centres.
Lambert Smith Hampton and Myddelton & Major are the letting agents for the scheme, which is being developed by Glenmore Commercial Estates and on schedule to open in the summer.
This significant early interest from household names means that all the units in the development’s Block B have been let, with only the five units in Block A remaining.
Elise Evans, Associate Director, Industrial, at Lambert Smith Hampton’s Southampton office, said: “The quality of the names which have already pre-let units is testament to the quality of the premises and its prime location.
“This is a huge investment in Andover, and the construction of these trade counter and industrial units as a speculative development shows that there is growing confidence in the economy in the region.
“We are speaking to several more potential occupiers who are delighted that so much interest has already been shown in a scheme which will bring employment and opportunity to Andover.”
Glenmore Trade Park’s eight trade counter units benefit from their prominent position facing Newbury Road, and are within walking distance of Tesco and Sainsbury supermarkets and of Enham Arch Retail Park, where occupiers include Halfords, Homebase, Next, Maplin Electronics, The Range and Brantano Footwear.
It is also close to Churchill Way Retail Park, home to national retailers including TK Maxx, Currys Digital and Carpet Right.
