BizSpace, the UK’s largest regional flexible workspace provider, has opened its first 28,000 sq ft fully serviced business centre at Merlin House, Arlington Business Estate, Theale.
BizSpace has fully refurbished the two-storey office building to create a contemporary business hub comprising of 44 individual offices, ranging from two to 130 person offices, all available on flexible terms.
The centre marks BizSpace’s first turn-key offering in response to the increased demand in flexible working, particularly from large corporates reassessing their traditional city-centric office structure. Recent reports, including a survey by the BBC of 50 of the UK’s largest employers, show many do not envisage bringing staff back to the office full-time. While others, including Lloyds and HSBC, are decentralising their office structure to create more regional locations across the UK, therefore, giving rise to the need for a turn-key solution with fully serviced options, most commonly associated with city locations.
Designed for modern working needs, the new centre in Theale has a number of meeting rooms of varying sizes, breakout and lounge areas for collaborative working between colleagues, along with private areas such as phone booths for Teams and Zoom calls. Those working from the centre will benefit from enterprise-grade telecoms technology and ample car parking with 24-hour access.
Situated just off junction 12 on the M4, and if you are coming in by train, Theale station is located directly opposite the centre. Alternatively, Reading station is seven minutes away by train and provides easy access to London Paddington and will be part of Crossrail when it opens in 2022.
A number of well-established businesses already operate from Arlington Business Estate such as Amazon and Nokia. BizSpace Theale is ideally situated in the middle of the M4 tech corridor where a major cluster of digital businesses operate between Reading and Bracknell.
