Homebuilder Bloor Homes has acquired the South Winchester Golf Club from Crown Golf Property and plans to reshape it into a new housing complex, set to include 1,000 new homes, a park and ride facility, a primary school, public open space, and sports pitches.
While the terms of the deal remain confidential, the golf course will continue to be in use until 2025.
Bloor Homes was advised on the transaction by law firm Gowlings, while Shoosmiths acted for Crown Golf Property.
