Bracknell: AV distributor Midwich agrees lease at SEGRO Park
Midwich, the UK's leading trade-only audio-visual and document solutions distributor, has taken a 31,634 sq ft unit at SEGRO Park Bracknell. The company has signed a 15-year lease and will take occupation in early 2019.
The unit will be home to more than 80 sales specialists and be used as a showroom for Midwich’s wide range of AV products for existing and potential customers to view. SEGRO Park Bracknell will be Midwich’s prestigious new southern showroom which is currently located in Crowthorne and Reading.
Mark Lowe, managing director, Midwich said: “SEGRO Park Bracknell is an excellent location from which to expand our business and is the perfect home for Midwich. The area benefits from a fast-growing population and there are already many large-scale employers in Bracknell.
“We look forward to opening the facility in 2019 and working together with SEGRO in the future.”
Paul Lewis, regional director, Thames Valley and data centres, SEGRO said: “We are pleased to welcome Midwich to SEGRO Park Bracknell which delivers quality industrial space in a prime location. The fact we have secured this long-term commitment to such a high-tech company highlights the need for space at SEGRO Park Bracknell.
"We look forward to working together with Midwich in the future and to help service the growing needs of their business.”
On the remainder of the site SEGRO has speculatively built a single unit of 90,054 sq ft, which is available for immediate occupation. The unit benefits from 12-metre eaves and a 45-metre secure yard.
The remaining sites on SEGRO Park Bracknell offer the flexibility to design-and-build new industrial space up to a total of 185,000 sq ft with detailed planning for a 60,000 sq ft unit.
Bracknell is already home to Waitrose headquarters, Boehringer Ingelheim, a world leading pharmaceutical company, and Fujitsu, a leading provider of IT products and services for the global marketplace.
