Lymington: Spec office building Stirley House comes to market
A major new speculative office building along the South Coast has been completed. Stirley House, based in Lymington between Southampton and Bournemouth, is in a prominent position on the main ring road around Ampress Industrial Park. It is one of the few speculative office buildings to be built along the South Coast in the past decade.
Property agents JLL and Warwick Martel are marketing the space for let. Westfield Developments is the developer and owner of the site.
The large open-plan and flexible work spaces benefit from secure parking, excellent transport links, proximity to local amenities and onsite bicycle and shower facilities. The property has a ‘Very Good' BREEAM rating, the international benchmark for building sustainability.
There is 2,500 to 13,150 sq ft of Grade A office space available at Stirley House, which is situated in a highly sought-after New Forest location.
Nella Pang, associate director at JLL in Southampton, said: "At JLL, we see first-hand every day how important it is for workplace design to be fit for purpose in a rapidly changing, highly-connected world. People are no longer wedded to their desks and employees are happier and more productive if they have a dynamic place to work. Stirley House has created a new environment where there is an emphasis on sustainability, health and wellbeing is at the heart of its design. There have been very few speculative office schemes along the South Coast in recent years in a market where supply of office space is tight so it is welcome news that this significant project is now complete."
JLL recently published a new report, Workplace powered by Human Experience, which looks at how the workplace experience can help businesses thrive.
The study revealed that helping people feel good at work is more than a box-ticking exercise. Companies stand to benefit in measurable ways once they realise that the experience they create for their people in the workplace has an impact on their levels of engagement, sense of empowerment and feelings of fulfilment at work.
