Oxford: Moorcrofts advises Extrinsica Global on HQ move
Moorcrofts commercial property team has advised Extrinsica Global, a cloud solutions business, on a letting at The Schrodinger Building at Oxford Science Park. Moorcrofts commercial property partner Julia Ferguson led the legal negotiations for Extrinsica Global.
Ferguson said: “We were very pleased to assist Extrinsica Global with their move into new premises at Oxford Science Park. This was an important move for the client giving them much needed extra space but also an impressive new headquarters from which to operate out of. We wish them much success in the future.”
Simon Smith, director of Extrinsica Global, commented: “The company has experienced rapid growth since establishing itself as a start-up in 2013. Having now established itself as one of Microsoft’s top hyperscale cloud providers in the UK and winning some impressive customers, including the FTSE 100, Extrinsica Global has needed to grow significantly in headcount. This meant we needed a new set of offices that could both accommodate the growth in staff numbers and future growth but also act as a showpiece for customers and partners."
With this, Extrinsica Global moved its headquarters to the newly-built Schrödinger Building at Oxford Science Park. Utilising the blank canvas and large glass space, Extrinsica Global has created a state-of-the-art workspace including open-plan areas that encourage collaborative working between engineers and project managers, and an ultra-modern Operations Centre that enables the business to manage and support all of its customers’ cloud solutions.
This was the first time that Extrinsica Global had leased corporate office space and it needed specialist assistance to navigate what was uncharted territory. Moorcrofts worked closely with Extrinsica Global to help it successfully complete the leasing deal.
"We were really pleased with the service Julia provided and would have no hesitation in recommending Moorcrofts commercial property department,” said Smith.
