Southampton: JLL and LSH sign up five tenants for White Building
JLL and LSH, sole joint agents for the completely-refurbished White Building in Southampton, have signed up five new tenants with two more in the pipeline. This is an indication that demand for high-quality space in the city remains strong despite wider economic uncertainty following the Brexit vote.
The new tenants in the 50,000 sq ft building, also now linked to the smaller 13,500 sq ft Latimer House, are Yo Telecom, JCF Works, Regis Bentley, Novum Law and Wessex Petroleum. Collectively, they have taken 7,056 sq ft.
The building, one of the best-designed office environments in Southampton, picked up two awards at the South Coast Property Awards in July – Development of the Year and Workplace Environment of the Year.
Nella Pang, associate director at JLL, said: “The vision at the White Building was to transform the space and create a practical and design-led office scheme and one which businesses would be proud to occupy.”
Andrew Hodgkinson, director at LSH, said: “We are pleased to be able to provide occupiers with flexible accommodation to accommodate their requirements, whether it be 200 sq ft or 32,000 sq ft on traditional lease terms or on flexible leases.”
Andrew Oliver, letting manager at Ashville Asset Management which manages the building, said: “As the lines between home and work life continue to blur, providing a high quality, attractive working environment with great facilities will allow businesses to attract the best talent. It also encourages a better company culture and improved staff creativity and productivity.”
