Supermassive Games has released a new trailer to mark the launch of its new game The Quarry.

The Guildford-based firm today released The Quarry in partnership with California gaming outfit 2K.

The game is available on PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Windows PC via Steam.

The production features a raft of celebrities including David Arquette, Ariel Winter, Justice Smith , Brenda Song, Lance Henriksen and Lin Shaye.

Supermassive Games describe the concept on their website as "an all-new teen-horror narrative game where your every choice, big or small, shapes your story and determines who lives to tell the tale."

The games firm have confirmed that The Quarry will have 86 unique ending options that will be determined by choices made by the player.

Director Will Byles said: "The Quarry is breaking new ground across interactive storytelling and technology to create a truly visceral teen-horror experience. I can't wait to see the choices you make, who you'll save, and who you're willing to sacrifice!"

David Ismailer, President at 2K, said The Quarry represented a new type of gaming.

He said: "As an interactive narrative experience, The Quarry is a completely different type of game from anything 2K has published in the past. We are partnering because Supermassive Games are simply the best at what they do, and we’re huge fans of the studio. The chance to work with one of the great creative minds in our industry doesn't come often, and we are excited to be on this journey together with The Quarry."

Supermassive Games placed 14th in The Business Magazine's Thames Valley SME 100 Growth Index for 2021 with turnover of 14.1m for the year ending 2019 which was up from 9.4m the previous year.
