Marlow: FoundOcean takes grouting below water in the North Sea
FoundOcean, headquartered in Marlow, has begun work on the 48-jacket Nordsee Ost offshore wind farm in the German sector of the North Sea.
Together with RWE Innogy, the company is undertaking onshore trials to investigate effective ways of speeding up the foundation installation process. FoundOcean has an extensive track record of working subsea and these trials mean that more options can be explored to enable faster grouting times.
FoundOcean has nearly 50 years’ experience of subsea and offshore foundation grouting for the global energy construction industries. It also provides life extension solutions for offshore structures which include structural inspection, repair and maintenance services, marine growth control products, freespan correction grout bags, and pipeline/cable support and protection services.
