Newbury: BRP Composites sold to Tritech Group

BRP Composites, a Newbury-based UK prototyping specialist manufacturing parts for motorsports, supercars and F1 teams, has been acquired by Tritech Group of Wrexham, a UK subsidiary of India’s Neterwala Group, for an undisclosed sum. 

BRP Composites has been making carbon-fibre, glass-fibre and Kevlar components since 2001, and has grown to become a leading subcontractor in its field. 

Ian Walker, Tritech Group managing director, said: “We have been looking for an automotive prototyping specialist for some time, as there is significant crossover with our core aerospace business. BRP Composites has a superb track record and cutting-edge engineering skills, which will benefit our combined customer base with new innovative products.” 

Neale Blunden, BRP founding director, commented: “Being part of a bigger group means we can accelerate our growth plans, and launch into new markets. I would like to thank BCMS for introducing us to Tritech and helping us negotiate to this successful conclusion.”
