Newbury-based technology firm eShare has been selected by Microsoft to participate in a prestigious roadshow in Seattle and San Francisco. eShare is one of just two promising UK startups, and one of only 15 firms from 450 companies around the world, chosen to spend five days networking with senior Microsoft execs (including CEO Satya Nadella), meeting VCs and pitching its product in the US.

Alister Esam, eShare CEO, said: “It is going to be an interesting week mixing with some of the most innovative firms in the world and I am proud that eShare belongs in such exalted company. eShare will be launching in the US later in 2016, so the roadshow is a wonderful opportunity to generate market awareness and establish contacts ahead of that launch.”

eShare is the company behind board-meeting management-portal BoardPacks, and it recently launched a new product MeetingSquared, in collaboration with Microsoft. Accessed via Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Office 365, MeetingSquared is for anyone who organises or attends meetings, and aims to bring an end to the inefficient preparation, scheduling and management that often goes with them.

The Microsoft Global Startup Roadshow is part of the Microsoft Accelerator programme, designed to help startups and aimed  specifically at driving innovation and cementing partnership. Accelerator has seven hubs around the world (Beijing, Bangalore, Berlin, London, Paris, Tel Aviv and Seattle) and has been running for around four years.

Fresh from its billion-dollar acquisition of LinkedIn, Microsoft has a proud track record in working with the best and most innovative startups around the world.
