iCyber-Security Group (iCS) has been selected as one of the UK’s top 30 companies to join the prestigious London Digital Security Centre, formed by the Mayor of London, the City of London Police and the Metropolitan Police.

The selection process commenced in May where more than 400 digital security companies were researched by the Centre, with just 25 being called for interview at the end of June. The final 15 market-leading companies are now being ‘showcased’ by the Centre, to help over one million London SMEs to stay safe and secure as they grow and develop.

Participation in the final stage ‘Dragons Den’ style selection process was by invitation only, for specialist digital security companies who could demonstrate leadership through independent analyst recommendation, customer references, market share and an outstanding reputation.

The Centre’s chief executive, John Unsworth, commented: “The companies invited for interview faced a series of in-depth questions from senior members of our staff. We partner with just the top providers in each sub section of the digital security marketplace.

“While there is much noise around digital security presently, an increasing number of companies still fall victim to cyber-attack. Not necessarily because they are ignoring the threat, but because they are still unaware of the real risks they are facing.

“Companies like iCyber-Security Group, with vast experience and a proven track record, are just perfect to join our accreditation and be available for advice and services, as part of the Centre’s non-profit making capabilities.”

Marco Essomba, founder and chairman of iCyber Security, said: “This prestigious selection puts iCyber-Security Group in the premier league of UK companies who are fighting back against cyber-crime, which is hitting London from across the globe.

“We have developed an enviable reputation as a leading specialist solutions business for safeguarding businesses in this complex digital world. It is clear that fraudsters and hackers have no boundaries, so shielding a company’s entire IT eco-system from cyber-attack is now an essential part of any Boardroom agenda. As part of the Centre’s ‘Showcase’ of world leading experts, we can present a united front and illustrate that the UK is at the vanguard of cyber protection and digital risk assessment.”

The Centre is a joint venture with the Metropolitan Police Service and the City of London Police. It works alongside the National Fraud and Cyber Crime Reporting Centre (Action Fraud) to provide free impartial advice and support businesses to improve their digital security and operate in a safe on-line environment.
