Over the coming months, BDB Pitmans will further integrate its teams across key practice areas and office locations. "The new firm is committed to creating together something greater than the sum of the two legacy firms," said a statement.

Complementary practices such as real estate, dispute resolution and corporate "will be greatly enhanced as will the breadth of services BDB Pitmans will be able to offer to both existing and new clients". The statement added: "BDB Pitmans is now a single, stronger law firm with great potential to add value to both firms’ existing clients."

Andrew Smith, managing partner of BDB Pitmans, said: “We are very pleased to announce the official launch of BDB Pitmans. Since the Partnership vote in September we have made great progress in integrating the two legacy firms culturally and across our offices which will allow us to offer clients a greater depth of services and expertise. A key focus for the new year will be to build on those foundations and take advantage of the opportunities that the merger gives us for further growth.”

John Hutchinson, managing partner of Pitmans and partner on the executive board of BDB Pitmans, commented: “We continue to receive very positive feedback from an expanded client base and our people who are very excited about the new firm and the possibilities we can create together. Our specialist teams are in prime locations to service the burgeoning needs of our clients across all our areas of expertise.”
