Theale: Engineering company rebrands following acquisition
Theale-based control and automation specialists, Peak42, has announced it will be changing its name as it continues to transition into UK-leading engineering services business, Edwin James Group.
The business, which will now be known as Peak Technology Solutions, was acquired by the Edwin James Group in July 2019, and provides engineering consultancy services, performance management solutions (Industry 4.0) and system integration services within the manufacturing and utilities sectors.
The new branding will have no impact on staffing or the range and quality of service the business provides, said the company, but marks the next step in the company’s integration into the Edwin James Group, which reported an annual turnover of circa £140 million at the end of last year.
Michael Thomas, director at Peak Technology Solutions, said: “Since our acquisition by Edwin James Group in July last year, we’ve been taking our time to get the transition right, ensuring there’s as little disruption as possible to our employees and clients. As part of this ongoing process, we’re pleased to announce that we will be known as Peak Technology Solutions, which reflects what we do well, in addition to aligning us with the other businesses in the Edwin James Group.
“The rebranding will have no impact on the range and quality of service we offer and will make us a recognisable part of a highly successful Group, something our clients can benefit from in terms of an even broader range of high-quality services available.”
Derek Smith, CEO of Edwin James Group, said: “Peak’s new branding will make it a recognisable part of the Group, and we are pleased to have the company’s valuable depth of knowledge and expertise under the Edwin James Group banner, as we continue our strategy to bring together well-respected, established businesses to create a full-service national operator.”
